Since our last newsletter there’s been a lot happening.  Our Chief Executive met with our local MP, Mark Prisk who is happy to endorse Transitions, and donating a fee for participating in some research.  We received a unanimous vote from the District Council for change of use to the house, granting us planning permission for 2 years.  And lastly, nearly 20% of the total project cost has been raisedHowever, there’s still a long way to go before we can open including a Fire Risk Assessment to be actioned, Care Quality Commission Registration and recruiting a full staff team, as well as raising a further £100,000.   Previously I wrote about Joshua leading the Israelites to freedom in the promised land by crossing the river Jordan, to illustrate the recovery journey and transition to a new life free from addiction.  Reading how Joshua, as a new leader, trusts in God for the miraculous is also an inspiring journey of personal faith which resonates for me as I find myself continually stepping out to lead Transitions into the promised land. With grace and peace for the journey,  Mark
